Bulgaria's caretaker Foreign Minister Nikolay Milkov is taking part in a Meeting of NATO Ministers of Foreign Affairs in Brussels between April 4 and 5, Milkov's ministry says on its website.

The meeting is discussing matters related to the Russian military aggression against Ukraine and NATO's response, including practical support for Ukraine, as well as the planning of the NATO Summit in Vilnius on July 11-12.

In the framework of the main meeting, the NATO-Ukraine Commission will convene in foreign ministers' configuration with the participation of the chief diplomat of Ukraine. A discussion with NATO's partners Japan, South Korea, New Zealand and Australia, involving EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, will look at ways to boost these countries' cooperation with NATO and the EU in the context of the Russian military aggression against Ukraine, and will discuss global security challenges.

Finland's national flag will be raised in front of NATO Headquarters in Brussels on April 4 as the country becomes the 31st member of the bloc. The Nordic country received the green light to join NATO in late March after the Turkish Parliament ratified its candidacy.
