The Bulgarian naval research vessel Sv.Sv Kiril I Metodii is on a bearing of 40 degrees off the coast of Brazil. At 22:30 hrs nautical time (23:30 hrs EET) RSV 421 was 130 miles southeast off Florianopolis.

The ship maintained a speed of 8 knots in infavourable conditions with a headwind of 12m/sec and a swell of 3-4 degrees.

Sv.Sv. Kiril I Metodii is on its way to the next interim stop – the Spanish city of Cartagena, which it is expected to reach in mid-April. The ship is expected to return to Varna at the end of April.

BTA's Daily News editor Konstantin Karagyozov is the only member of the media who is travelling on board the ship to Livingston Island and back and covered the Bulgarian expedition on site throughout its stay in Antarctica.
