site.btaSofia Declares Readiness to Participate in Ukraine Reconstruction

Sofia is ready to participate in the reconstruction of Ukraine with the EU playing a leading role in the process, the Foreign Ministry said in a Facebook post Tuesday. "As a member of the EU and NATO, and as a neighbour in the Black Sea region, Bulgaria is ready to participate in the reconstruction of Ukraine with an understanding of a leading role for the EU in this process," the post reads.

In a letter to Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba on February 24, Foreign Minister Nikolay Milkov reiterated Bulgaria's consistent position of strong support for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine, within its internationally recognized borders, including territorial waters, as well as for its European future.
