site.bta5.2 Magnitude Quake Registered in Turkiye


An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter Scale was registered in Eastern Turkiye on Monday, according to information of the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC). The quake was epicentred at a depth of 5 km in Yesilyurt, Malatya Province and caused the collapse of several buildings, the Associated Press reported.
Malatya is one of 11 Turkish provinces hit hard by the strong earthquakes that devastated parts of southern Turkiye and northern Syria on February 6.
