President Rumen Radev Monday will confer a Madara Horseman Order, First Class, on Ukrainian Ambassador to Bulgaria Vitaly Moskalenko, the head of State's press secretariat reported. The Ambassador is awarded for his dedicated work in the harsh conditions of the war against Ukraine, as well as for his particularly big contributions to the deepening and broadening of the bilateral relations.

The EU has welcomed some 4 million Ukrainian refugees, and around 50,000 of them are in Bulgaria, Ambassador Moskalenko said on February 24 while visiting together with European Commission Executive Vice President Valdis Dombrovskis Sofia's humanitarian centre of the Mother Ukraine association of Ukrainian organizations in Bulgaria.
