EVN Demands
17.9 Per Cent Increase
of Electricity Price

Sofia, September 2 (BTA) - The EVN electricity distribution
company, which serves Southeastern Bulgaria, has demanded an
increase of electricity prices by 17.9 per cent on average as of
October 1, 2014. A letter with the demanded increase has been
submitted to the State Electricity and Water Regulatory
Commission (SEWRC). Of the proposed hike, 7.2 per cent will
directly go to the National Electricity Company, and 10.7 per
cent will go to EVN.

EVN's management argued that the increase is needed in order to
provide a better service. The proposed upmark also corrects
errors in the last price decision by SEWRC, EVN said. VI /ZH/
