Education Ministry Gives One-off Allowance
to Children Left Homeless
by Floods in Mizia


Mizia, Northwestern Bulgaria, September 2 (BTA) - The Education
Ministry will give a one-off allowance of 400 leva to 12
students, whose families lost their homes in the floods in the
northwestern town of Mizia, said Education Minister Roumiana
Kolarova.

On Tuesday Kolarova inspected a primary school and a vocational
school in Mizia, which were seriously damaged by the swelling
waters of the Skut River in early August.

Kolarova said that the students will receive vouchers to buy
school supplies for the new school year. VI/PP
