site.btaBulgaria Hosts International ETAP-C 26-3 Flight Training

The Bulgarian Air Force is hosting the joint flight training exercise European Tactical Airlift Programme Course 2026-3 (ETAP-C 26-3), which will take place from September 28 to October 8, the Defence Ministry said on Saturday.

The international training will involve personnel and assets from the air forces of allied countries, the European Tactical Airlift Centre and the European Air Transport Command. The flights planned as part of the training will operate from Plovdiv Airport.

During ETAP-C 26-3, missions will be carried out in temporarily reserved areas of Bulgarian airspace around Plovdiv Airport, the 22nd Air Base at Bezmer and the 12th Air Base at Dolna Mitropolia, as well as over parts of central and southern Bulgaria, the Defence Ministry added.

From September 16 to 18, Bulgarian Air Force crews conducted flights involving live firing at aerial targets at the Shabla Air Force anti-aircraft training range.
