site.btaBulgaria Air to Operate Sofia-Burgas Flights Throughout Winter

Bulgaria Air will operate flights between Sofia and Burgas throughout the 2026/2027 winter season, the airline's press office said on Friday.

The first flight under the winter schedule is planned for October 25. Flights will operate three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. All flights on the route are scheduled to be operated with Airbus A220-100 aircraft, the newest aircraft in the national carrier's fleet.

In May 2027, Bulgaria Air plans to increase the frequency of flights between Sofia and Burgas. From May 2 to 19, up to two flights a day are planned due to expected increased interest in Burgas related to the 2027 Eurovision Song Contest, the airline said.

With the winter-season flights and additional frequencies in May, Bulgaria Air will provide a year-round air connection between Sofia and Burgas, adjusted to expected demand for the Black Sea city.
