Yuliana Mateeva is a candidate for vice president in the upcoming elections on October 25 in accordance with a decision by the Central Election Commission. She was nominated by the Velichie party alongside presidential candidate Ivelin Mihaylov.

Yuliana Mateeva was born in Varna. She completed her secondary education at the Yoan Ekzarh High School No. 5, followed by a law degree from the Faculty of Law at the Technical University in her hometown. She is a professor of criminal law at the Faculty of Law of Varna Free University Chernorizets Hrabar. She also teaches criminal law at the South-West University Neofit Rilski in Blagoevgrad. Mateeva has over 20 years of experience in higher education, including two terms as a department head. She is a practicing lawyer with the Varna Bar Association and served as a Member of Parliament in the 50th and 51st National Assemblies.
