Nomination Committee Registers Gurov-Kandev Presidential Ticket

Representatives of the committee nominating Andrey Gurov for president and Georgi Kandev for vice president for the October 25 election submitted their registration documents to the Central Election Commission (CEC) on Monday.

The documents and a petition containing 6,000 signatures were submitted by nomination committee Co-chair Konstantin Valkov and committee member lawyer Vasil Stefanov, together with candidates Gurov and Kandev.

Gurov said that he expects a direct campaign, close to Bulgarian citizens, through meetings and conversations with them. "Our priorities are to give them a strong voice and an independent president they can rely on," he added.

He said that Bulgarian citizens now have the power and the voice to change the country’s course. "We are entering this campaign with one goal - victory. It will not be a victory for us, but for Bulgarian citizens. Our commitment is to carry the same closeness, openness and integrity from the election campaign into the presidential term," he added.
