The fire at the photovoltaic park of Bobov Dol Thermal Power Plant (TPP) has been extinguished, police told BTA. The fire broke out on Friday today at around 1.30 pm and spread through dry vegetation beneath the plant’s photovoltaic panels in the village of Palatovo, affecting an area of approximately 300–400 square meters.

Six firefighting teams were working to contain it, assisted by employees of the Bobov Dol power plant.

Two firefighting teams will remain on duty at the site overnight. An inspection of the area will be carried out tomorrow, during which the damage will also be assessed, police said.
