The photo-documentary exhibition "35 Years of the Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria", prepared by Parliament's administration, will be presented at regional libraries in Montana, Vratsa, Vidin, Varna, Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, Ruse and Veliko Tarnovo, Parliament's press office said on Friday. The initiative was launched by National Assembly Chair Mihaela Dotsova and aims to make archival photographs and documents related to the adoption of the modern Bulgarian Constitution by the Seventh Grand National Assembly available to a wider audience.

The exhibition will open in Montana on September 1, in Vratsa on September 14 and in Vidin on September 28. It will then be on display in Varna from October 12, in Plovdiv from October 26, and in Stara Zagora from November 9. The exhibition can be viewed in Ruse from November 23 and in Veliko Tarnovo from December 10.

The exhibition features photographs capturing key stages in Parliament's work on drafting the fundamental law of the Republic of Bulgaria. It includes copies of some of the 16 draft constitutions submitted by political formations, MPs, constitutional law experts and citizens. The exhibition also recalls how the events were covered by print media, issues of which are preserved in Parliament's library.

On July 14, National Assembly Chair Mihaela Dotsova opened the exhibition in the Parliament building.
