Vazrazhdane filed a new complaint with the prosecution service regarding illegal construction in Baba Alino, on the Black Sea, the party's press service reported on Tuesday. During their latest inspection in the Baba Alino area, near Varna, Vazrazhdane MP Kosta Stoyanov and municipal councillor Svetoslav Yordanov identified illegal finishing construction work at sites with restricted access, occupied houses that violated issued orders, and an illegal well in operation. The inspection was conducted following new reports from citizens that construction activities were continuing on the grounds of the illegal complex and that some of the buildings were being used.

Stoyanov said: "We came here following reports from citizens, and within minutes we identified violations that the authorities had failed to prevent." He and Yordanov observed a worker performing finishing construction and installation works in one of the buildings, even though an order prohibiting access to that building had been issued effective September 1, 2025. The MP added: "We can see that the houses are inhabited. There is laundry, electricity, and water, and finishing work was being carried out in one of the buildings. This is absolutely unacceptable, given that there is a valid access ban in place for these properties."

After identifying the violations, the two notified the Ministry of the Interior and the Municipal Police.

Stoyanov proposed that Varna Mayor Blagomir Kotsov restrict access to the sites so that any violation is visible and easily detectable during an inspection.

Stoyanov and Yordanov also found that the illegal well, which had been sealed, continues to operate, even though the authorities had already identified violations. "We will file a new complaint with the prosecution service. The illegal well must be sealed so that no one can use the water from it anymore," said Stoyanov.

On August 6, the Varna Administrative Court ruled that the demolition of buildings in the Baba Alino area may proceed once the pending cases have been finally resolved on their merits. So far, 12 administrative cases have been filed following complaints submitted by Forest Club Varna LTD and Venedict 02. The two companies are challenging orders issued by Varna Mayor Blagomir Kotsov, which mandated the demolition of 12 multi-family residential buildings containing more than 40 apartments. In late May, Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Ivan Shishkov stated that halting the illegal construction in the Baba Alino area, carried out by the Ukrainian corporation KYB, falls within the municipality's authority.
