The project "Student Summer Camp Sofia: Community, Culture and Active Lifestyle" concluded successfully after bringing together children from Sofia and Bosilegrad for five days of educational, cultural and sports activities, the organizers said on Friday.

They emphasized that the camp, held from July 27 to 31 on Vitosha Mountain, gave children the opportunity to build new friendships while exploring Bulgaria's cultural and natural heritage through shared educational, sports and cultural experiences.

Participants stayed at a mountain lodge and took part in hiking trips, sports orientation, karate lessons, team-building activities and cultural events designed to encourage friendship, teamwork and intercultural exchange. The programme also included visits to the Lozenets Arts, Culture and Education Centre, the Sofia Zoo, the National Library, the National Museum of Natural History, and a literary walking tour of central Sofia.

The camp was organized by the Theme for the People Association-Sofia in partnership with the GLAS Association of Bosilegrad, with funding from the Sofia Municipality's Europe Programme 2026.
