The Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) has appealed the Council of Ministers' July 22 decision revoking its right to use its headquarters at 23 Vrabcha Street in Sofia, the party said on Facebook on Thursday in response to questions from journalists.

Under Bulgarian law, the appeal suspends the enforcement of the decision and all legal consequences arising from it until a final court ruling is issued, the party said.

"Following Regional Development Minister Ivan Shishkov's statement that the MRF would be provided with a new building in accordance with the Political Parties Act, we are currently in talks with the competent institutions", the MRF added.

Shishkov told a briefing last week that the building at 23 Vrabcha St., which houses the MRF headquarters, would be transferred to the National Revenue Agency (NRA).
