Compared with the second quarter of 2025, the total number of newly registered legal entities decreased by 9.2%, while the number of entities entering insolvency or bankruptcy proceedings fell by 17.7%.

Compared with the first quarter of 2026, the number of newly registered companies declined by 8.9%, while the number of entities entering insolvency or bankruptcy proceedings, including those declared bankrupt, decreased by 5.9%.

During the second quarter of 2026, the largest share of both newly registered companies and companies declared insolvent was in the wholesale and retail trade, and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles. This sector accounted for 83.7% (9,481) of all newly registered entities and 86.4% (835) of all entities entering insolvency or bankruptcy proceedings.
