During Parliament's review of the Bulgarian News Agency's (BTA) 2025 report on Thursday, Aleksandra Sterkova MP of Democratic Bulgaria congratulated the BTA's Director General and the entire time on not merely fulfilling their legal obligations, but on their comprehensive vision for the Agency’s development, on expanding its presence, and on establishing its role as a reliable source of information. She added that it was no coincidence that Kiril Valchev had received such strong support for his second term as BTA Director General.

Sterkova specifically highlighted the efforts to digitize BTA’s archival collection, noting that these represent exceptional efforts to preserve BTA’s legacy, which is a unique source of history. She wished Valchev success in his work and expressed the parliamentary group’s support for the report.

The National Assembly later adopted unanimously, with 153 votes in favour, the 2025 report of Bulgaria's national news agency.
