Transport Minister Georgi Peev said that the Ministry of Transport and Communications is preparing a roadmap for strategic infrastructure projects of national priority, the Transport Ministry press service said on Tuesday. Peev spoke at a meeting with the leadership of the Bulgarian Construction Chamber

The aim is to introduce long-term planning with clear deadlines and concrete results, Peev said. He added that the budget should be linked to specific policies and that a clearer indexation methodology should be developed to ensure uniform application of the rules for everyone in the sector.

Peev said public-private cooperation can be a useful tool for implementing infrastructure projects when it is carried out properly, transparently and with clear guarantees protecting the public interest.

He also highlighted the importance of active and constructive dialogue with industry organizations, which are directly involved in infrastructure projects and have valuable practical expertise.
