site.btaParliament Reshuffles Membership of Standing Committees
Parliament approved member changes in several standing parliamentary committees on Friday. The item was added to the agenda at the start of the plenary sitting.
Evgeni Dyankov (GERB-UDF) was relieved of his duties as member and deputy chair of the Committee on European Affairs and Oversight of the European Funds. Hristo Gadzhev (GERB-UDF) was elected to replace him.
Vladislav Goranov (GERB-UDF) was released as a member of the Defence Committee, with Hristo Gadzhev elected in his place. Goranov was subsequently elected to the Energy Committee.
Tihomir Totev (Progressive Bulgaria) was relieved as a member of the Energy Committee and replaced by Zdravko Markov (Progressive Bulgaria). Evgeni Dyankov (GERB-UDF) was also elected as a member of the committee.
Zdravko Markov was released from the Defence Committee, with Tihomir Totev taking his seat.
Pavlina Kovacheva (Progressive Bulgaria) was relieved as a member of the Labour, Demographic Policy and Social Policy Committee and replaced by Vaska Milusheva (Progressive Bulgaria).
Milusheva was, in turn, released from the Committee on Direct Citizen Participation and Interaction with Civil Society, where Kovacheva was elected as a member.
