site.btaBulgaria Presented in Foreign Language Popularization Initiative within Madrid Book Fair
Bulgaria was presented within the Discover Europe Through Its Languages initiative of the European Commission Representation and the European Union National Institutes of Culture, held during the Madrid Book Fair. Guests had the opportunity to interpret for several minutes from their native or another language into Spanish inside an interpretation booth, the Bulgarian Embassy in Spain said on its website Wednesday.
The initiative presented the Bulgarian, Hungarian, French, Romanian, Finnish, and Polish languages.
Bulgaria was represented at the event by Boris Katsamunski, head of Cultural and Educational Affairs at the Bulgarian Embassy in Madrid. Together with Iva Stoyanova, a representative of the Bulgarian community in the Spanish capital, he led a discussion on tourism opportunities in Bulgaria.
Simultaneous interpretation of the presentation was provided by Lachezar Davidkov, a student at the Sv. Ivan Rilski First Bulgarian Sunday School in Madrid.
The presentation on Bulgaria was accompanied by a video showcasing the country’s natural, cultural, and tourist attractions.
