Ivan Shishkov has been proposed Minister of Regional Development and Public Works in the draft Cabinet of Rumen Radev. 

Ivan Shishkov is 62 years old and is an established expert in architecture, urban planning and public administration. From 2022 to 2023, he served as Minister of Regional Development and Public Works, having previously been a deputy minister and adviser in the same ministry. His professional biography includes 24 years of experience as chief architect of Dragoman Municipality and of the Bankya and Triaditsa boroughs of Sofia Municipality.

He currently works as an independent architect. He holds a master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy in Sofia. He completed his secondary education at the Hristo Botev Technical School of Construction in Sofia, specializing as a construction technician. He is married.
