GERB will pursue a constructive political dialogue with the other parties in the National Assembly, party Chair Boyko Borissov said during a meeting with ambassadors from European Union countries in Bulgaria. Borissov announced the meeting on Tuesday in a post on his Facebook page.

“The political situation in the country after the parliamentary elections, as well as the main challenges and priorities facing Bulgaria, were the focus of today’s meeting with the ambassadors of EU member states,” Borissov wrote. He thanked the Ambassador of Cyprus, Charalambos Kafkaridis, for hosting the meeting, mentioning that Cyprus currently holds the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union.

During the talks, Borissov stressed that Bulgaria needs predictability, functioning institutions, and a clear pro-European government capable of ensuring accelerated economic development, security, and protection of the national interest. He also highlighted the importance of active partnership with European institutions and Bulgaria’s strategic allies.

The discussion also covered topics such as the eurozone, energy security, support for Ukraine, and the broader consequences for Europe in the context of the war in Iran, Borissov added.

Addressing the EU ambassadors, Borissov affirmed that GERB would work toward institutional stability and seek guarantees for Bulgaria’s economic development. He reiterated that the party would continue to uphold the country’s Euro-Atlantic orientation, financial stability, and efforts to restore public trust in state institutions.
