Continue the Change (CC) has ideas for the state budget, party chair Assen Vassilev said on Tuesday during consultations with President Iliana Iotova regarding the handing of the first exploratory mandate to form a government.
"We hope there will be responsiveness from Progressive Bulgaria," Vassilev said. "The elections are over and Bulgarian citizens have given a clear mandate and signal of what should be expected as the first actions of the authorities. I hope this will be properly interpreted by Progressive Bulgaria," he added.
According to Vassilev, the main message from the voters is that the way the country has been governed under GERB leader Boyko Borissov and Movement for Rights and Freedoms leader Delyan Peevski must end. "In our view, this involves removing their security detail so they are not more privileged than all other members of Parliament," Vassilev said.
