Temenuzhka Petkova, top-of-the-list candidate of GERB-UDF in the 19th multi-member constituency in Ruse, said on Sunday that "the true strength of a person lies in faith", the coalition’s campaign team said in a press release.

Her remarks came after a meeting with a local priest at the Holy Dormition Church in Ruse, where they discussed the meaning of Easter and spiritual values.

Petkova described Easter as a celebration of light, faith and hope, symbolizing that salvation follows suffering and light follows darkness. She added that faith is expressed through actions - helping others, forgiveness, respect and gratitude.

In her Easter message, she called for mutual support and urged people to carry Christ's love in their hearts, stressing that true wealth lies in the good one leaves behind.
