site.btaBTA Building Renovation Project Approved under "Beautiful Bulgaria" Programme

A project to improve the functionality, aesthetics and sustainability of the Bulgarian News Agency building has been approved for funding under the "Beautiful Bulgaria" programme, with a total value of EUR 262,792.80.

The project is among 52 approved for implementation in 2026. Funding under the programme amounts to EUR 78,837.84, with BTA providing co-financing of EUR 183,954.96.

Planned works include restoration of the mosaic flooring in the corridors, part of the building’s architectural heritage, as well as repairs to doors, walls, ceilings and sanitary facilities.

The project was initially approved in 2025 but postponed due to capacity constraints.

The renovation builds on a series of recent investments in the BTA building, including the replacement of elevator equipment, improved accessibility, facade renovation and upgrades to shared spaces.
