Third of March coalition lead candidate Ivan Kolev handed out hundreds of Easter sweet breads baked in his own bakery to residents of Yambol, the coalition’s regional campaign headquarters said on Thursday. The giveaway took place at three locations in the city, where Kolev also spoke with local people.

“At Easter, I see a symbol of hope and a new beginning. I wanted to bring a little warmth into the homes of my fellow citizens and wish them health and prosperity. Bread unites us,” Kolev said during the meetings.

The Third of March coalition said it believed politics was not only about words, but also about action and staying close to people. For Kolev, the bakery was a symbol of honest work, and sharing bread was the highest Bulgarian and Christian value, the campaign headquarters said. The coalition thanked everyone who stopped to talk and share their concerns and hopes, adding that together they were building a strong community and restoring dignity to Yambol.
