The number of signals about election violations 13 days before the elections, has increased severalfold compared with the same period before the 2024 elections. This indicates that there is greater public trust in the new leadership of the Ministry of Interior and fir people it makes sense to submit reports about election violations, said caretaker Minister of Interior Emil Dechev in Plovdiv.

According to him, there is also an increase in the number of investigations launched into election-related crimes. The number of detainees has risen multiple times as well. The number of warnings related to election crimes has also increased severalfold, Dechev added.
