BTA will publish the names of the top-of-the-list candidates of every party/coalition for all constituencies for the April 19 parliamentary elections. The information about the candidates is provided by the respective political entity, the candidates themselves and other official sources.
Denitsa Ivanova is the top-of-the-list candidate of BSP – United Left for Ruse’s 19th multi-member constituency, Milena Hinkova, chair of the Constituency Election Commission in the Danube city, said here Thursday.
Ivanova told BTA that she is from Ruse. She is married and has one child. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Angel Kanchev University of Ruse and a master’s degree in European Studies and Public Administration under a joint programme of the Bulgarian-Romanian Interuniversity Europe Centre and the University of Ruse. She is currently a law student. She has administrative and managerial experience. She now works as an expert on European projects at the Regional Information Centre - Ruse, which is part of the national network of 27 regional information centres for promoting the European Structural and Investment Funds and the European funds under shared management in Bulgaria.
Ivanova is serving a second term as a municipal councillor in Ruse in the 2023-2027 term, where she chairs the BSP councillors’ group. In the previous term, 2019-2023, she was deputy chair of the Municipal Council. Denitsa Ivanova is deputy chair of BSP’s local structure in Ruse and a member of the party’s National Council. She also has additional political education. She completed the Management Skills national programme of the Dimitar Panitza Bulgarian School of Politics, the Academy of Social Policy at the Institute for Social Integration - Friedrich Ebert Foundation, as well as trainings at the Dimitar Blagoev National Political Institute with the BSP National Council.
