Bulgarian Athletics Federation President Georgi Pavlov met with representatives of the federation’s coaching commissions.
At the meeting, held at Park Hotel Vitosha, Pavlov discussed current priorities with the heads of the commissions: Sprint and Hurdles – Valya Demireva, Jumps – Dimitar Karamfilov, Throws and Combined Events – Andrian Andreev and Lyubomira Brambarova, and Road and Cross-Country Athletics – Kostadin Kisiyov, as well as leading coaches and officials. Pavlov also announced that national record holder in the 60m hurdles and 110m hurdles Zhivko Videnov will join the federation as a coordinator and liaison between the commissions and the federation’s Executive Board.
The meeting reviewed the work of the commissions since their establishment in November 2025, the optimisation of the process for selecting discipline-specific teams for training camps, and opportunities to encourage young athletes. Other current topics arising after the end of the indoor season were also discussed.
Pavlov said his goal is to hold such meetings more frequently in order to address sporting and technical matters quickly and effectively. During the meeting, he also announced that the federation will have new, more modern offices, which will be located at Park Hotel Vitosha.
