Partial local elections are held across ten Serbian municipalities on Sunday according to local media reports. The municipalities are Arandelovac, Bajina Basta, Majdanpek, Bor, Kula, Smederevska Palanka, Kladovo, Knjazevac, Lucani, and Sevojno.

On February 23, Ana Brnabic, the President of Serbia's National Assembly, decided to call the partial local elections for March 29. According to the country's Law on Local Elections, municipal councillors are elected for a four-year term, and elections for municipal councillors must be held no later than 30 days before the end of the term of the outgoing municipal councillors, Tanjug reported.

The election results will be announced within 96 hours of the polls closing.

A delegation from the Council of Europe will observe the elections, with six teams randomly assigned to polling stations.
