There Is Such a People (TISP) leader Slavi Trifonov appeared in a Q&A on his own 7/8 TV on Friday as his party opened its campaign for the April 19 elections. "In the next government, we need to be practical and think logically if TISP is part of a stable majority," he said. The event was broadcast live on 7/8 TV, where he answered questions from viewers.

Trifonov emphasized that the purpose of TISP being in politics "is the people". "I am a supporter of electronic voting, but in this election I support paper ballots because I do not trust this government," he said.

"We entered a coalition with GERB for two reasons: because people wanted a regular government and because Bulgaria belongs in the eurozone," he said. According to him, destroying the mafia must be an act of the whole society, not just politicians or the police.

"The biggest mistake of TISP was that the first time we did not form a government with GERB. My attitude toward people and my personnel policies are my other major mistakes," Trifonov said.
