Hilton Sofia’s wellness centre plans to expand its therapy programmes, introduce new technologies and develop specialized packages, owner Krasimira Valova of operator UPI H said Friday.

The goal is to position the facility as a leading urban wellness destination for international and local clients. The centre is certified by the Ministry of Tourism of Bulgaria and offers massages, spa rituals, face and body treatments, sauna and steam bath, anti-stress programmes, and a fitness area with Technogym equipment.

Demand is strongest for combined recovery therapies and anti-stress programmes, reflecting increasing stress levels and the need for quick physical and mental recovery, Valova said.

Recent additions include personalized wellness programmes, innovative cosmetic procedures, and day spa packages, in line with global trends in preventive healthcare and stress management.

Valova highlighted the centre’s individual approach, offering tailored services based on each client’s condition and needs, alongside a boutique atmosphere, professional expertise, and digitalized booking systems.

The centre works with international brands such as Thalgo, Guinot, and Forlle'd, and employs qualified specialists, including kinesiotherapists and therapists with international certifications.

Staff shortages remain a challenge, addressed through training, partnerships with academies and, if needed, hiring specialists from third countries, Valova added.

BTA presents news from certified SPA, wellness, and medical SPA centres in Bulgaria in its BG SPA: Salus per aquam, Health Through Water feature. Their total number exceeds 200. The initiative, organized in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism and the Bulgarian Union of Balneology and SPA Tourism, is linked to Europe’s leading health tourism event, the HEALTHXCHANGE SUMMIT, which will be held from May 11 to 13, 2026, in Varna, Sts. Constantine and Helena, Golden Sands, and Albena. BTA will be the event’s main media partner.
