Caretaker Foreign Minister Nadezhda Neynsky held a meeting with French counterpart Jean-Noel Barrot at a EU's Foreign Affairs Council sitting in Brussels, the Foreign Ministry said in a press release on Tuesday. During the conversation, France reaffirmed its support for regional policy in the context of enlargement.

The two expressed satisfaction with the progress achieved in the military sphere and discussed specific ideas for the institutional development of certain European structures.

The Foreign Ministers of Bulgaria and France also discussed the situation in the Middle East and Iran, while reaffirming their joint support for Ukraine.
