There Is Such a People (TISP) Deputy Floor Leader Stanislav Balabanov told reporters in Parliament on Thursday that it is clear that there will be no regular budget, as the budget extension remains in place. He specified that a regular government may have to consider a new state budget, since "haphazard proposals will not be accepted in [Parliament]."

Balabanov stated: "A political party with a failed finance minister shouted that the budget was bad and that people were dissatisfied. The budget was revised, but it remained bad, and after it fell, the government fell too. Now the same people are saying that the budget may have been bad, but it is good to accept it, because we must act in a statesmanlike manner." The MP described such statements as hypocritical. When asked about the BSP - United Left having proposed that parliament consider the 2026 budget, submitted by the outgoing government at the end of 2025, Balabanov replied that TISP did not agree with the BSP either. According to the TISP Deputy Floor Leader, when a budget is adopted at second reading shortly before elections, the political parties do not prioritize the wellbeing of the Bulgarian people but ways to maximize the number of votes they win in a few months.
