site.btaSofia Marathon Set for October 11, 10K Race Moved a Day Earlier

The Sofia Marathon will take place on October 11, the organizers of the capital’s largest mass sporting event said Thursday. In 2026, a change will be introduced, with only the classic marathon distance of 42.195 km and the half marathon of 21 km scheduled for Sunday.

The 10-km race, which in recent years has attracted the greatest interest among recreational runners, will be moved to Saturday (October 10). The mass start for the 10K will also take place on that day.

Registration for the marathon has not yet opened, but the organizers said it will begin soon.
