Explosions reverberated across Odesa as the city came under attack by drones launched from the Black Sea, local Telegram channels report on Tuesday evening.

More than 20 drones were approaching the city from the sea, heading toward all districts.

Air raid alerts were issued at 11:25 p.m.

Regional authorities urged residents to seek refuge in bomb shelters.

Bulgarians in Odesa Region number more than 150,000 and are the third largest population group in Ukraine, according to the latest official census. Between 50,000 and 60,000 Bulgarians live in the city of Odesa itself. The largest compact Bulgarian population is concentrated in the Bolhrad, Izmail and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi districts.
