site.btaSofia Airport Diverts Seven Arrivals, Cancels Three Departures in Strong Winds
Strong winds forced Vasil Levski Sofia Airport to divert seven arriving flights and cancel three departures, the airport press service said here on Sunday.
The disruption began at 1:15 am, with diverted aircraft routed to Belgrade, Budapest, Varna and Plovdiv.
The first diverted flight was operated by flydubai from Dubai and landed in Belgrade, the airport press service told BTA.
Departures cancelled from Sofia were to London (Stansted), Zurich and Frankfurt.
