In a video address released on Wednesday, GERB Chair Boyko Borissov said that the consequences of an extended budget would be severe. He confirmed GERB-UDF Deputy Floor Leader Denitsa Sacheva's words, who earlier Wednesday said that GERB-UDF would only back the budget extension in Parliament.
Borissov said: "Let it be clear to everyone that the consequences of all this are severe. There will be no increase in income for teachers, doctors, for more than 400,000 families. They will not receive child benefits on time, because there will not be enough revenue. Over 100,000 personal assistants [to people with disabilities] will have their payments delayed, and 750,000 people with disabilities will also be left without funds."
The leader of GERB stated that the people who are responsible for this are Continue the Change Chair Assen Vassilev and "his gang of hooligans".
