Russian drone attack was carried out on the Ukrainian city of Odesa overnight, Oleh Kiper, Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, said on Telegram on Wednesday.
“Most of the aerial targets were destroyed by our air defence forces. However, a strike on an infrastructure facility in one of the districts of the region has been recorded. There are no casualties or injuries,” he said.
According to his information, the strike caused local damage followed by a fire, which was quickly extinguished. The critical infrastructure is operating normally.
Odesa Region is home to the third largest community of expatriate Bulgarians, numbering more than 150,000 people, according to an official population census in Ukraine in 2001. Between 50,000 and 60,000 Bulgarians live in the regional capital, Odesa. Bulgarians in the region are concentrated in the districts of Bolhrad, Izmail and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi.
