Valley of Thracian Kings Archaeological Complex Reports Increased Attendance in 2025

The Valley of Thracian Kings archaeological complex Tuesday reported a higher attendance figures, a broader age range of visitors, and increased recognition within the country in 2025.

From April to December, the landmark's ticket sales marked a 52% increase, year-on-year. Growth was observed in all key areas of the complex's activity, with the most existing ones being in interactive services. The Valley of Thracian Kings is the newest tourist site that Kazanlak Municipality unveiled on April 9, and since then it has already established itself as one of the leading tourist attractions in the region, the management of the complex said.

The archaeological complex also hosted various events in 2025, with the Bread of the Bulgarian exhibition being among the highlights as it was part of this year's Rose Festival in Kazanlak. During the year, the complex also organized scientific forums, annual interactive programmes, children's events, film premieres, sports events, lectures, among others. Improvements were also made in infrastructure and services, including bilingual audio guides, as well as the creation of new tourist maps.

The Valley of Thracian Kings is part of one of the largest projects of Kazanlak Municipality - The World of the Thracians.
