site.btaPresident Radev Meets with EU Ambassadors

President Rumen Radev met on Thursday with the ambassadors of EU member states at the Danish Embassy, the President’s press secretariat said. The meeting took place at the initiative of Ambassador Flemming Stender within the framework of the Danish Presidency of the Council of the EU. Vice President Iliana Yotova and the Head of the Representation of the European Commission in Bulgaria, Yordanka Chobanova, also took part.

The agenda focused on the challenges facing the European Union arising from the military actions in Ukraine and the Middle East, approaches to achieving lasting peace, the negative impact of military conflicts on Europe’s security, stability, and socio-economic systems, as well as achieving strategic autonomy for the EU. Current developments in Bulgaria were also discussed, the statement said.
