At its regular meeting on Wednesday, the Cabinet approved the Organizational Regulations of the State Fund Agriculture (SFA). The draft introduces a comprehensive update and functional optimization of the administrative structure by units, in line with the amendments to the Agricultural Producers Protection Act, effective from January 1, 2023, the requirements of the Strategic Plan for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas 2023–2027, and EU regulatory acts applicable to the management of EU funds.

A new structural unit for European Cooperation and Communication has been created to assist the SFA Executive Director in international cooperation and collaboration within the EU.

The fund’s structure remains organized into the Central Administration and 28 regional directorates, without changes to the currently approved total staffing of 1,693 positions.

Within the Central Administration, two new positions have been introduced, a Network and Information Security Officer and a Data Protection Officer, aimed at strengthening the institutional capacity to safeguard information resources and personal data, ensure compliance with national and European security standards, and establish a reliable environment for e-governance and information exchange.
