Shortly after it resumed, Wednesday's plenary session of the National Assembly was suspended.

Earlier today, at around 12:30 p.m., National Assembly Deputy Chair Kostadin Angelov who was presiding over the sitting interrupted it so that the parliamentary budget and finance committee could meet to consider the second reading of the draft budgets of the Public Social Insurance and the National Health Insurance Fund for 2026. The request was made by committee chair Delyan Dobrev from GERB-UDF.

“I am resuming the sitting. Three breaks were requested, so the working time has been extended until 2:45 p.m. After that, I will close today's plenary session,” Deputy Chair Angelov announced.

The next session is on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. According to the parliamentary agenda adopted on Wednesday, the first item is the vote at second reading of the bill amending the Public Enterprises Act.
