A midnight drone attack damaged infrastructure in the southern part of Odesa Oblast, Odesa regional administration leader Oleg Kiper reported on Telegram on Sunday.
Energy facilities, including a photovoltaic power plant, were damaged. The fires that broke out were quickly extinguished by units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. Vital facilities and critical infrastructure switched to power supply from backup sources.
Bulgarians in the Odesa region number more than 150,000 and were the third largest population group in Ukraine in 2001, according to the official census. About 50,000 - 60,000 Bulgarians live in the city of Odesa itself. The largest compact Bulgarian population is concentrated in the Bolhrad, Izmail and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi districts.
