May 24 (BTA) - Bilateral relations between Bulgaria and
Germany are excellent and of strategic importance, and relations
with Bavaria are the most active and dynamically developing
among the German federal states, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko
Borissov said here Friday during his meeting with Bavarian Prime
Minister Markus Soeder, quoted by the Council of Ministers in a
 press release.
The talks between Borissov and Soeder were a sequel to the
successful and productive meeting the two held in Sofia at the
beginning of May. On Friday, the discussion focused on economy
and investments.
Markus Soeder noted that he was impressed by the big number of
German factories opening in Bulgaria. Prime Minister Borissov
said he expects an even stronger economic cooperation, and that
he attaches great importance to the confidence of Bavarian
business to trade and invest in this country. He added it is
very important for Bulgaria that the presence of Bulgarian
products on the Bavarian market be expanded in promising
sectors, such as electronics, engineering, the chemical
industry, and agriculture.
The two Prime Ministers were confident that the political
dialogue between Bulgaria and Bavaria is intensive on all levels
and will continue the establishing of all necessary conditions
for the further development of unused potential. Soeder proposed
to organize a Bulgarian Economic Day in Bavaria, which would be
yet another expression of the excellent relations between the
two states. RY/TH
