An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.9 on the Richter scale was registered on Thursday at 08:18 AM Bulgarian time in the area of the island of Limnos, Greece, said the National Seismological Centre at the National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy and Geography. There are no reports of casualties or damage to property.
According to their data, the earthquake was epicentred approximately 215 km south of the town of Gotse Delchev, 280 km from Blagoevgrad and about 320 km from Sofia. Residents of the Gotse Delchev reported that they only felt a minor tremor.
