site.btaSofia Municipality Named Finalist for Innovation in Politics Awards 2026

Sofia Municipality has been named a finalist in the Digital Innovation & Governance category of The Innovation in Politics Awards 2026, the Sofia Municipality said on Tuesday.

The Municipality was selected from more than 300 entries from 35 countries with its Sofia Decides project, submitted by the Municipality's Digitalization and Information Systems Directorate. The project was recognized for making city governance more open, accessible, and participatory by encouraging citizens to take part in decision-making.

The winners of The Innovation in Politics Awards 2026 will be announced on October 30, 2026, at a ceremony in Cascais, Portugal, the 2026 European Capital of Democracy.
