site.btaInformation Meetings on Euro's Introduction to Be Held in Five Settlements Tuesday


Information meetings, part of the nationwide information campaign on the introduction of the euro in Bulgaria, will take place on Tuesday in the towns of Samokov, Malko Tarnovo, Bregovo, Velingrad, and Pavel Banya. The meetings will be held at the following locations: in Samokov – Arena Samokov Hall; in Malko Tarnovo, Bregovo, and Velingrad – at the local municipal headquarters; in Pavel Banya – Mladost Hall, 4 Osvobozhdenie Str.
The aim of the campaign is to provide citizens with clear, detailed and reliable information on the main stages and deadlines of the euro introduction process.
The euro information meetings are a joint effort between the responsible institutions, including the Ministry of Finance, the Bulgarian National Bank, the Ministry of Economy and Industry, the Consumer Protection Commission (CPC), the National Revenue Agency, the Financial Supervision Commission, the National Social Security Institute, among others.
Experts from the CPC will explain how to convert currencies correctly, what the requirements for traders are under the Law on the Introduction of the Euro in the Republic of Bulgaria, what Bulgarians' rights are as consumers, and how to report violations. Participants will be able to ask questions.
The nationwide information campaign was launched in Burgas (on the Black Sea) on September 2.
Bulgaria is set to adopt the euro as of January 1, 2026, becoming the 21st member of the euro area.
