Bulgarian folk singer Vanya Parizova will present her personal brand KERANA and perform solo during the 11th Expats Join Hands in Worldwide Dance travelling festival, which will take place from May 15 to 17 at BMW Park in Munich.

Parizova said the KERANA project combines modern fashion with authentic Bulgarian embroidery and serves as another way to tell the story of Bulgaria through traditional symbols and identity.

She will also appear on stage with the "Nashenki" choir from the Bulgarian Cultural Association in Milan, where she has performed for nearly 12 years, as well as with the newly formed "Kanatitsa" choir from San Bonifacio.

Parizova said this year's participation would be especially personal, as she would also take part with an individual performance for the first time.

"My biggest wish has always been to sing," she said, adding that her goal is to remind Bulgarians abroad of their roots and homeland through music.

She described tradition not as something belonging to the past, but as "memory, identity and something alive" that can be carried into the modern world.

The travelling festival Expats Join Hands in Worldwide Dance is organized by and for amateur folklore ensembles performing outside Bulgaria. The initiative was launched by the Ot Izvora group in Lyon, France, which hosted both the first edition in 2015 and the tenth edition in 2025. More than 100 dance ensembles and over 4,000 guests are expected at the 11th edition in Munich in May. The Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) is the official media partner of the event and will present all participants.
